Total revenues for the third quarter of 2004 stood at US$ 96.5 million, compared to total revenues of US$ 89.4 million for the same period in 2003 and US$ 94.1 million for the second quarter of 2004. Software revenues for the third quarter of 2004 were US$ 35.4 million, compared to US$ 35.3 million for the same period in 2003 and US$ 32.7 million for the second quarter of 2004.

Net income stood at US$ 6.4 million in the third quarter of 2004, compared to net income of US$ 2.5 million in the third quarter of 2003 and US$ 2.2 million in the second quarter of 2004. Earnings per basic and diluted share were US$ 0.16 for the third quarter of 2004, compared to US$ 0.07 and US$ 0.06, respectively.

“The results are indicative of an improved performance during the third quarter, compared to the corresponding period last year. FileNet has consolidated its position in the ECM market with the launch of the FileNet P8 platform, 3.0,” said Carlo Stellati, Vice President, South Europe, Middle East and Africa, FileNet.

“The third quarter results indicate the rising demand among enterprises and government organizations to acquire tools that help them make better decisions by managing the content and processes. FileNet’s ECM solutions have gained a large clientele in the Middle East, because they allow customers to build and sustain competitive advantage by managing content throughout their organizations. FileNet’s new Records Manager suite, recently certified compliant with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.2-Standard (STD) for records management systems, is also in high demand because it offers comprehensive lifecycle management of records from creation to disposition,” said Hilal Arnaoot, Managing Director, EBLA.

FileNet is one of the first in the region to advocate the cause of ECM and business process management as an effective tool in improving customer service, reducing operational costs and improving the productivity of an organisation.
