Growth-minded entrepreneur Mr. Faleh Mohammad Al- Hajri, founded Fillfilah Restaurants, in 1990 shortly before the invasion of Kuwait. He started with a small, 90-square-meter pastry shop and has grown the company revenues in excess of SR40,000,000. Now he has set a new vision for his company to capitalize on the tremendous growth potential in the emerging Saudi foodservice industry.
The improvements include more than SR4,000,000 in business growth preparation and reinvestment. Each of its four locations is undergoing significant remodels to the interior and exterior of the facility. The company has also invested in a new logo, branding platform, uniforms, marketing campaigns, new menu introductions, operational procedures and standardization, training systems and long-range planning. The company expects to have the extensive renovations and unit improvements completed within 2010.
Approximately 60% of the population of Saudi Arabia is under the age of 20 – the same age as Fillfilah Restaurants. The surge in population and diversification of the Saudi economy has big implications and opportunities.
“The Middle East restaurant industry is booming and we see tremendous growth potential. The surge in our population and changing eating habits make Saudi Arabia foodservice an important industry in our current and future economy. Projections are that the industry will grow by as much as 500 percent in the next decade and we prepare to take a more assertive posture with growth,”
says Al Hajri.
