Fitness First held yoga sessions on 24 and 25 September as part of its association with the global event, Global Yoga Mala for Peace Project, which annually brings together the worldwide yoga community and marks the United Nation’s International Day of Peace.
Fitness First has supported the foundation in Sierra Leone since 2007. Contribution from the club has to date benefited 22 orphaned and abandoned children, giving them a life-transforming gift.
George Flooks, Chief Operating Officer, Fitness First Middle East, said, “Words cannot express our satisfaction on the success of this event. Through engaging the community in the ancient art of yoga, we have contributed to the well-being of the community. Additionally, we have raised a significant amount that will offer support to creating a brighter future for the children of Sierra Leone.”
Fitness First’s 19th branch in the region recently opened doors at Oasis Centre. With more branches in the pipeline across the UAE as part of the chain’s expansion strategy, Fitness First is dedicated to ‘making the world a fitter place’ with its state-of-the-art equipment, fully qualified personal trainers and the latest group exercise classes.
