Overwhelming response registered for Forever Dubai campaign at DTCM’s Information Desks

The Information Bureaus are located at the Dubai International Airport, Baniyas Street, Sheikh Zayed Road, Deira City Centre, BurJuman Centre, Hamarain Centre and Wafi City.

The Visitor Information Bureaus share detailed information about the promotion, city maps, and share answers to all frequently asked questions about Dubai. Information brochures pertaining to the promotion are also shared with the visitors.

Forever Dubai is a unique tourism initiative created by DTCM to promote Dubai as a shopping destination as well as to reinforce the city’s reputation as the City of Gold during Dubai 2003.

Alongside the cultural show, “Forever Dubai” features a citywide sales initiative, giving any person who buys goods and services worth a minimum of AED 200 (US$ 55), a chance to win a grand prize of 25 kilos of gold on the night of September 26th. Raffle coupons are available at over 1,000 retail outlets throughout Dubai.

Salah Al Ansari, Manager, the Forever Dubai Information Bureau said, “Our team consists of eight people addressing all the queries about the promotion at the Airport. The response from the passengers is phenomenal.”

The night shift obviously has a much more hectic time as the airport is busier with several arrivals scheduled for the night. At the Arrivals section, most of the visitors would like to know more about which outlets they could avail of the promotions benefits within the city.”

The build-up for the campaign begins within the airport with several strategically placed banners and posters. The passenger can participate in the campaign through purchases made at the Dubai Duty Free as well.

The response within the Visitor Information bureaus at the malls is also excellent as the grand prize of 25 kilos of gold attracts more and more shoppers to participate in the promotion.

Besides the citywide promotion, the visitors also receive information on the activities of the Heritage and Diving Village, which has organised a special line-up of events on the occasion of the Forever Dubai campaign. The cultural calendar of the Heritage and Diving Village includes several intriguing insights. Supported with exhibitions to demonstrations, the Village comes alive with the renderings of the folkloric performers and the traditional bands in a dedicated effort to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the UAE.
