Pieces created by the House of Frette included the Tablecloth of the Holy Virgin for the altar at Saint Peter’s Cathedral in Rome, and its table linens were used in the banqueting rooms on board the Titanic, and are still used aboard the Orient Express today.
Originally established in Grenoble, France, the company became official purveyors to the Italian Royal Family in 1881. Frette, the global luxury linen brand has preserved its historical heritage through the creation of a contemporary limited edition bed set in honor of its 150 years of creating the finest linens in the world.
The unique “150 Anniversario edition” is presented in two models; The Gala and Gioia collections.
These limited edition sets are presented in a special antique ivory color box with “F” in relief and with a hot gold stamped frame, with the design depicted taken from the historical document that inspired the collection.

Unique, haute couture pieces especially commissioned and created by local fashion students from Preston University in Ajman, who used solely the company’s fine textiles, were showcased at the evening’s fashion event at the Burj Al Arab, where Frette presented its sleep wear collection.
The models at the event also wore fine jewellery by designers such as Verdi Gioielli, Mario Buzzanca, Casato Roma, Zoccai, and Elke Berr Geneve, all kindly provided by Arts and Gems in Dubai.
