The SMS service comes as an addition to a wide range of specialized services which the Fund offers its customers who are made up of thousands of UAE nationals who have worked in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, or for entities incorporated in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi but operating elsewhere.
The Fund SMS service will be sent in Arabic and will cover a wide range of subjects such as:
• Pension payments and deposit in the bank.
• End-of-Service ‘gratuity’ payments and deposit in the bank.
• Supplying missing documents to the Fund.
• Providing additional information and/or clarification to the Fund.
• Making a required payment to the Fund.
• Addition-of-Service approval & process completion.
In doing so, the Fund aims to keep the public up-to-date and advised of process developments in a timely manner throughout all service stages; giving them peace of mind and providing a service with unique customer care.
Also, the Fund offers the SMS service to maximize the benefit of the database kept by the Fund including mobile numbers of pensioners by putting it to effective use through informing them of important happenings related to their cases.
In addition, the SMS service is independently launched by the Fund and will be managed, maintained and updated by the Pensions and Benefits Department, the Fund core business unit and its ‘Face’ to the public. In that regard, the Fund management utilized one of the best IT solutions available for this purpose known for reliability and accuracy at no charge to pensioners.
Commenting on the news, Mr. Rashed Al Hameli, Director of the Pensions & Benefits Department said: “The SMS service is only the beginning of a wider range of services applying latest technology and utilizing all resources available to offer an ever improving service to the pensioner community in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.”
