United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, May 01 - 2002 @ 09:21

The widescreen (16:9) Plasmavision PDS-6101 literally takes plasma monitor performance to a new dimension, thanks to its incredibly large 61-inch screen size and Fujitsu’s most advanced digital video technologies.

With the introduction of the new PDS-6101, advanced Fujitsu Plasmavision picture quality is now available in the world’s largest plasma screen size. The PDS-6101 delivers the best big-screen plasma performance in the industry, making it the ultimate display solution in the 61-inch category for high-end home theater installations and commercial applications.

Ultimate Plasma Display Impact
The PDS-6101′s massive screen size brings movies, sporting events and favorite TV shows to life with thrilling home theater impact and scale. It’s also perfect for viewing the output from a game console or computer, as well as business and commercial applications such as boardroom presentations, videoconferencing, advertising or anywhere a big, bold, attention-getting display is desired.

Fujitsu’s Plasmavision SlimScreen PDS-6101 incorporates a host of advanced technologies for remarkably realistic picture quality, with superb clarity, resolution and color accuracy. It delivers a vibrant 600 cd/m2 brightness along with a 700:1 contrast ratio. The PDS-6101 features a high-resolution 1365 x 768 pixel array and can display the output from virtually any video source, including native 720p HDTV and 480p signals from a DTV set-top box, 1080i HDTV signals and the video output from a computer up to UXGA resolution. The PDS-6101 is compatible with virtually all NTSC, HDTV, DTV, PAL and SECAM formats.

The PDS-6101 utilizes the AVM (Advanced Video Movement) processor now included in the complete line of all Fujitsu Plasmavision models. This single-chip digital video processor virtually eliminates motion artifacts and flicker, improves vertical resolution and reproduces natural movement with ease. AVM’s built-in line doubler converts NTSC signals and uses different types of processing for moving and still pictures, yielding smoother images with more natural movement and without visible scan lines. High definition television (HDTV) and DVD signals are also enhanced for the characteristics of the plasma display panel, to achieve optimum image quality.

Image quality is further improved by Fujitsu’s advanced digital noise reduction circuit; additional refinements include automatic 3:2 pulldown detection to accurately reproduce the 30 frames per second of film content encoded on DVD-video discs, precision comb filters for NTSC and PAL sources and more.

The Fujitsu PDS-6101 is the Convergent Visual Medium™ that offers the versatility of HD component video, component video, S-video, composite video and analog RGB video connections, a DVI-D digital video input, plus a built-in stereo amplifier and stereo audio outputs. The PDS-6101 also features an RS-232C control port for integrated system operation. The PDS-6101 provides a wide range of picture adjustments, accessible via its easy to use on-screen menu and full-function remote control.

Although it’s the largest plasma monitor available, the PDS-6101 is only 4.7 inches in depth, enabling it to be hung from a wall or ceiling, or mounted on a stand. Its slim profile and elegant appearance make it ideal for the most sophisticated custom installations and elegant home decors.
