i-mate™ partners with Dubai eGovernment on mobile initiative

United Arab Emirates: Sunday, August 13 - 2006 @ 10:46

The company, which has its global headquarters in Dubai Internet City, has pre-loaded the i-mate™ Smartflip for retail distribution in the UAE with a ‘favourites’ link to the Dubai e-Government web portal www.mobile.dubai.ae.

Dubai e-Government director of services Salem Khamis Al-Shair said: “A unique feature of the i-mate™ Smartflip devices is that they are preloaded with our link. This makes it easier for users to access information on the go, including financial, travel, entertainment, flights, prayer timings and other valuable information.”

“As a Dubai based company we are happy to be working alongside the Dubai Government to promote this groundbreaking project,” said Ulla Larsen Nassif, Regional Corporate Manager at i-mate™. “A key platform of e-governance is to provide high-quality customer focused eServices for citizens, residents, visitors and businesses to help make living, visiting and doing business in the Emirate easier.

“The web portal is an essential resource providing a range of services that enable people to conduct online transactions and communicate with Dubai Government Departments round the clock.”

“Now individuals have immediate access through i-mate™ devices to a host of facilities such as paying utility bills, finding out about traffic conditions or understanding the regulations for foreign companies to set up business in the Emirate, through Dubai e-Government web portal.”
