DIT Group takes over the representation of The Middle East magazine in the Gulf region

United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, May 31 - 2006 @ 09:14

From June 1st 2006, The DIT Group, which publishes Forbes Arabia, will take over all the advertising sales of The Middle East magazine.

The management teams of IC Publications and the DIT Group are delighted about this partnership. Afif Ben Yedder, the Group Publisher of IC Publications, cites the synergies between the two magazines: “This is a fantastic opportunity and makes real sense. Forbes Arabia and The Middle East are both well respected titles, both reaching the higher end of the market, the influential decision makers.

Furthermore, they complement each other and are not competing for the same advertising budgets as Forbes Arabia targets Arab readers whilst The Middle East reaches an English speaking audience. DIT has done a fantastic job bringing the Forbes brand to the Arab World. They can help the magazine focus more on the Gulf countries and put together strong and original editorial content. They can also help generate more advertising revenue from the Arab world.”

Wendy Dennaoui, Head of Sales at DIT is also very excited about this challenge and the opportunities it brings: “The work we have done at Forbes Arabia shows that we can take The Middle East to a new level, and be a real market leader. The magazine is excellent, and there is no reason why many of our clients should not be advertising in the publication. It has very healthy ABC audited numbers for the region, and has the advantage of an extensive and far reaching distribution worldwide. The Middle East, which exists since 1974 is the bestselling English-language pan-Arab magazine. It is a matter of raising the profile slightly and making sure people are aware of this great international magazine. Who knows where this will take us, as the two titles complement each other perfectly and we would love to work together in organising events around the region and internationally.”
