CFAB is aimed at those who wish to develop a general knowledge in finance, accounting and business fundamentals. It is a stand-alone qualification by ICAEW, a world leader in the accounting and finance profession, but can also be used as a stepping-stone towards the renowned ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification.
The certificate has been available in the Middle East since January 2009. It consists of six modules, including business and finance, management information, accounting, law, assurance and taxation principles. The certificate can normally be obtained within one year and assessments are done online.
Amanda Line, Regional Director, ICAEW Middle East, said:
“There has never been a greater need for better understanding of business, finance and accounting in the Middle East. CFAB is a flexible qualification that will give candidates a better understanding of a broad range of key finance principles, which people in all parts of an organisation can benefit from.”
”We are delighted that Zayed University has become an ICAEW Partner in Learning and look forward to working with them on offering this certificate to their many prominent corporate clients,” Amanda added.
Zayed University’s Center for Professional Development, part of I.C.E., provides a range of training and consulting projects and specialises in offering corporate training for business and government to help improve employee effectiveness. Its clients include National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Mashreq Bank, Emirates NBD Bank, Ministry of Finance, and the UAE Central Bank.
Christopher Shove, Executive Director of ICE, said, “Corporate training is an important area for Zayed University.
