iGuzzini hosts the International Economic Forum ‘A possible future between Italy and United Arab Emirates’

The 6th edition of Marche Endurance Festival Lifestyle ran from June 14 through June 17th 2012 confirming once again itself not only as a key sport appointment for the Endurance discipline, being officially appointed as part of the European Endurance Championship Open, but also as a crucial business and economic initiative.

The Festival has featured the participation of a high level delegation from UAE governmental institutions and private sectors, led by His Highness Excellency Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy and the participation of High Highness UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who led fourteen riders of the UAE at the start of the Conero Endurance Cup, the major sport event of the Festival and achieved a podium by winning the CEI3 * 160 km of the race.

The highlight of the Festival was the International Economic Forum “A possible future between Italy and United Arab Emirates” which was successfully held at the Auditorium iGuzzini in Recanati on Friday 15th June. During the Forum, attended by over 140 local companies from the Marche region and 50 firms along with 7 investment funds from UAE, has been a significant occasion to explore further opportunities to develop the ongoing cooperation between the countries which already benefit from a longstanding mutual relation. Important representatives from the entrepreneurial and the institutional sectors from both the countries has joined the event, sharing models, ideas and inputs to implement the privileged bilateral relations between Italy and the United Arab Emirates.

During the Forum numerous inspiring speeches have taken place, such as the ones held by E. Hisham Abdullah Al Shirawi, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce in Dubai and Abdullah Saeed Al Darmaki, CEO of Khalifa Fund who both have stressed the importance of building new partnerships and promote economic exchanges between the two countries. The several Business to Business meetings and economic workshops which were also part of the event have also confirmed the positive outcome of the Forum acting as promising presuppositions for the next steps to take next to strengthen and implement further the synergy between Italy and the United Arab Emirates.

By hosting the International Forum, iGuzzini has once again reinforced its crucial relation with the Gulf countries: present in the Middle east since 2008 with a regional office in Dubai, it has recently expanded its regional network with operational satellite offices and local territory management in Doha, Qatar and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia with plans in place to also be operative in Jeddah.

During the 4-day event, the iGuzzini showroom has been also visited by the UAE Minister of Economy, Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri who has been toured through the most innovating luminaires accompanied by the iGuzzini President Adolfo Guzzini along with the iGuzzini Vice President Paolo Guzzini. Also present during the visit Richard Holmes, Regional Director of iGuzzini Middle East and Sergio Padula, Technical Design Manager at iGuzzini Middle East.

The Minister has been introduced to a selection of iGuzzini latest products, which combine state of the art technology with creative design, firstly displayed at the Light + Building Frankfurt last April.
