IIROSA urged Arab governments to respond more effectively to youth needs. This call came from Dr. Adnan Bin Khalil Basha, IIROSA Secretary-General during the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference & Exhibition – DIHAD 2012 was held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
IIROSA, the golden sponsor for DIHAD 2012, has participated at this event as part of its commitment to unifying the efforts of Islamic relief organizations to reach out to all areas in the world.
Dr. Basha added: “The real target for DIHAD 2012 is the unification of Islamic relief agencies’ efforts in offering humanitarian and voluntary work all over the world, particularly the Arab region.”
Dr. Basha highlighted the importance of the voluntary work and the role of youth in it. “The private sector can play a major role in helping the youth develop their capabilities to bring relief to the community,” he pointed out.
Both private and public sectors should take the responsibility to meet the needs for the youth in the Arab and Islamic world, such as education, health and employment. Youth constitutes more than 50% of the Arab society, he added.
DIHAD 2012 has discussed at the 9th edition possible solutions for more effective distribution of aid to poor nations through new and innovative ideas.
IIROSA’s concept is based on the humanitarianism of Islam which gives high importance to provide relief to the needy people. The headquarters of IIROSA are in KSA and it is part of Muslim World League.
