Jordan: Saturday, August 13 - 2011 @ 15:51

IMC–Jordan’s trade mission is part of its project, funded by the European Union (EU) in cooperation with Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), aiming at stimulating the sector and specifying criteria for guidelines for all stakeholders.

In her comment, IMC – Jordan Executive Director, Reema Nasser emphasized the results of the official visit which included consultative meetings held in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat to determine the necessary technical measurements needed to organize and prepare for the mission trade.

“Our meetings with officials from the UAE were very successful, starting from the Commercial attaché at the Jordanian Embassy, Mr. Al Hakam Al Tayeb, who welcomed the trade mission. Thus was the welcoming attitude in our meeting with TCO Consulting office, which provides management consulting services for public institutions and the UAE Academy of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abu Dhabi.” Nasser said.

“Moreover, Dubai Quality Group showed interest in helping us with the trade mission’s management and logistic matters.” She added.

Nasser pointed out that during IMC–Jordan’s visit to Oman, they met with Mr. Naser Bin Mubarak Al Alawi from the Omani Ministry of Trade and Industry and with Mr. Abed Al Atheem Al Bahrani, the General Director of Oman’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who showed interest and willingness to patron the trade mission.

The visit to Oman also included signing a partnership agreement with the Omani company Injaz Development, represented by its CEO and Chairperson, Mr. Muhannad Al Asfour, in which the latter will be responsible for helping IMC–Jordan with the preparations and logistics of the trade mission to Oman.

It is worth mentioning that the project aims at raising awareness amongst enterprises for the importance of consulting and its role in developing businesses, and increasing the workers in the sector to keep up with the accelerating demand on its services. Additionally, it renders management consulting and training one of the main service sectors that Jordan depends on as a national product.
