Women’s Complaints Office is one of the JNCW initiatives that combat the violence against women, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Bassma Bint Talal through a ceremony that was held at Grand Hayatt on Wednesday February 11 2009.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Osama Imseeh, the General Manager of Imseeh Jewelry and Mrs. Asma Khader, the General Secretary of the Jordanian National Commission for Women, they agreed on creating a new distinguished collection of jewelry titled “Shama’a” that symbolizes (combating the violence against women in Arabic), where a percentage will be deducted from Imseeh’s profit to support the Women’s Complaints Office.
Mr. Osama Imseeh, The General Manager of Imseeh Jewelry said:
“We aim through this agreement to support the initiatives undertaken by the Jordanian National Commission for Women, to contribute actively in delivering its message in combating violence against women and increase awareness whithin the Jordanian society on some fundamental and important topics.”
“This MoU goes inline with our Corporate Social Responsibility plan which we always aim to implement, as we believe that the private sector should play a role in supporting different initiatives.” Mr. Imseeh added
From her side Mrs. Asma Khader, the General Secretary of the Jordanian National Commission for Women said “We believe in the cooperation between the private and public sectors to achieve our goal in countering the violence against women and enhance the equality between the two genders.”
Imseeh Jewelry inspired the “Shama’a” collection as it reflects the vision of fighting the violence against women, where Imseeh will showcase the Shama’a pieces in all their exhibitions.
