The 3rd Biennial Middle East Air Chiefs Conference is being supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force and Air Defense Command and sponsored by the Boeing Company.
The 3rd Middle East Air Chiefs Conference (MEAC) will be held in Knowledge Village on November 10, 2007, the day prior to the opening of the 2007 Dubai Air Show. The title for this year’s conference is “Evolution of Air Power: Superior Defense Operations” and it will cover a wide range of cutting-edge systems and fit the current needs of the Gulf region’s militaries in line with the growing threat of ballistic missiles and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
Speakers for MEAC will be drawn from regional and international Air Force Commanders, including the UAE Commander and other senior military experts. The event will be attended by the VIP military delegations who are being invited to the Air Show by the Government of Dubai and the UAE Ministry of Defense.
“The Middle East Air Chiefs Conference has become an essential element within the Dubai Air Show program attracting some of the world’s most authoritative defense experts,” explained Alison Weller, Aerospace Director, Fairs and Exhibitions, organizers of the 2007 Dubai Air Show. “It creates a forum of accessibility to the leading officers within the region’s defense sector which would otherwise be extremely difficult to achieve.”
“The Dubai Air Show is one of the premier events in the world,” said Elaine Howard, President and CEO of Defense News Media Group. “We are delighted to continue our association with the Air Show, have the support of the UAE Air Force and Air Defense Command and build on the tremendous success of 2005′s Middle East Air Chiefs Conference.”
“We aim at making this year’s conference much better than the MEAC events in 2003 and 2005,” said Riad Kahwaji, General Manager, INEGMA.
