QuickStart has been developed as an entry-level smartcard solution to provide an administration-free payment system. Although QuickStart offers the capacity to run without being networked, it also contains an in-built upgrade path to ChipNet, Infineer’s advanced smart card system for educational and corporate sites, which encompasses additional applications including catering and vending. ChipNet may then be fully implemented at a later date if desired. With ChipNet, subsidies and discounts can be allocated to users in a controlled way and accurate management information regarding sales and card activity on all functions can be generated.
While embracing the hi-tech future-proof smartcard aspect of the system, administrators can enjoy the best of both worlds with QuickStart’s user-friendliness. No training is required, the software is self-installable and cards are delivered ready to use.
Bernard Delahaye, Managing Director of Infineer, stated, “QuickStart is another string to our bow in serving the education market. We are also delighted to be entering the Internet café market with such an innovative product.”
The National Trading Centre, in Dubai who have been distributing Infineer’s products in the Middle East for 2 years now are equally pleased with the product and the chosen market.
Mr. Albert Peters, General Manager of NTC said that he was pleased that Infineer had decided, “to target the rapidly growing and prosperous Internet Café market in the UAE.”
