Just under a month after Microsoft showed Windows Mobile 6 at the 3GSM trade show in Barcelona, Informobility announced that its flagship product, Arabic Windows Mobile 6.0 is ready to ship at the end of February. Microsoft worked closely with industry leaders, including device makers and independent software vendors, to produce an enhanced OS that provides users with the benefits of viewing e-mails in their original HTML form, enhanced security features, including the ability to wipe out all information contained on a device if it’s lost or stolen, as well as a new interface for calendar reminders, messaging and searching.
“Windows Mobile 6 compatibility, speed, and a nifty interface make up the new features of the new release of our Arabic Windows Mobile 6.0 pack”, said Mr. Iyad Abu Shaera, Informobility’s Windows Mobile Products Manager.
Informobility’s Arabic Suite for Windows Mobile 6.0 is now readily available for all Middle East users. It builds on the fundamental Arabic support layer, known as Arabic Windows Mobile 6.0, bundled at no additional cost with an Arabic Notepad, and an Arabic letter recognizer, called In4 ByHand. The Arabic aware SMS module built into the Arabizer allows the user to write Arabic SMSes from within the comfort of the Windows built-in SMS. In addition to the Arabic support layer, the In4 Localizer dresses up Windows Mobile 6 with an Arabic interface for all menus, dialog boxes and messages enabling the Arab user to make use of his/her phone in their own language.
Informobility offers the Arabic Suite in three different flavors. The Basic Arabic bundle comes with the Arabizer, Localizer, Arabic Notepad, and ByHand. The Silver bundle includes the Basic one with the Holy Quran, Prayer Times, a Hijri calendar, a dictionary with pronunciation of words, and a Smart Dialer. The Gold bundle includes the Silver bundle with three additional products: In4 Live Messaging System, Arabic Crossword game, and Arabic News Reader.
Future products that will be released by the turn of 2007 are the Pocket Weather Forecast, the Pocket Expense Manager, and the Pocket Karaoke.
