Aimed at complementing and enhancing the capabilities of both parties, the alliance includes the purchase by IV of a 60 percent stake in CompuSoft. “Alliance is a necessity,” stressed Ali Al-Hunaiti, Senior Vice President Finance and Administration at IV group, adding “the Kingdom is very fertile ground for the IT industry to grow, although there are many players and the sector is fragmented. The only way forward is through consolidation of the industry; through partnership and alliances in order to build a strong and credible presence.”
The partnership enables CompuSoft to draw upon the IV Group’s extensive intellectual and financial capabilities to expand its range of services and to tailor its products to satisfy local market needs. IV objective is to provide the market with total e-solutions which will meet with the objectives of CompuSoft to provide world class (ERP) systems and e-solutions. Thus the partnership shall be able to provide the market with business integrated software that enhances companies’ ability to generate reports on a timely, accurate, and comprehensive basis, thus supporting managers’ decision making process.
IV believes that its knowledge of the local market is a definite advantage over international competitors. Mr. Al Hunaiti commented that international vendors are only interested in promoting shelf items without any consideration to the customers needs.
Eng. Bandar Al-Rajhi, Managing Director of CompuSoft agrees, “We cater to the needs of our markets and our services are designed to fulfill the uniqueness of our IT environment. I feel no one can cater to your needs if he does not know you well enough,” he commented.
“Our services encompass all aspects of ERP systems-Implementation, services and support, Finance, distribution and human resources, manufacturing systems, supply chain, customer relationship management systems, service management, communication and networking. We provide the market with software development expertise using the latest technology and methodology,” Al-Rajhi explained.
CompuSoft, which is planning a regional expansion, has received the Inner Circle Club award in 2001 and the Circle of Excellence-Europe Middle East Africa for the years 2000 and 2001.
“We are on the path to achieve a prestigious international position and chances are better now since we are a part of bigger driving force,” he said.
