Intergence Systems pioneers fixed price IT Optimisation consultancy

United Arab Emirates: Saturday, October 17 - 2009 @ 10:45

The three packages – Intergence ‘Accelerate’, Intergence ‘Application Performance Assessment’, and Intergence ‘Virtualisation Assessment Service’ – all provide clients with a comprehensive, tailored and independent report and set of recommendations. The packages launched at Gitex are offered at fixed prices.

According to Intergence Systems, driving down costs, improving flexibility, and improving IT management are ongoing requirements for businesses today. IT staff are overrun with tasks to track assets, target capacity and usage, plus the need to know intuitively when technology needs to be tuned or upgraded for greater performance.

“As the pioneer in independent IT optimisation consulting in this region, we continue to look for ways to simplify and enhance the offer to clients,”

says Duncan Adamson, Managing Director of Intergence Systems Middle East.

“Since we established Intergence Middle East in Dubai, in 2008, our business has grown significantly and is now a major contributor – around 30% – to the Intergence group revenues. However, one potential obstacle for some organisations is the relatively unpredictable nature of fees that a consultancy assignment can entail. By fixing costs at the outset for a predetermined set of services and outcomes, we create a refreshing certainty and a level of confidence that is reassuring for prospective customers. We believe they each offer outstanding value for clients looking for an independent expert consultant, who is completely vendor-neutral.”

Intergence selected and built the three packages after careful consideration of the issues commonly faced by client organisations, worldwide and within the Middle East. For example, poor application performance is impacting business revenues by up to 9% (Aberdeen Group); virtualisation is ‘the number one must have technology for 2009’ (Gartner); 31% of IT budgets are consumed by recurring monthly WAN costs (Nemertes).

Taking Acceleration as an example, there is potential for very high ROI and cost savings, through cutting bandwidth consumption by as much as 60-95%; speeding up file transfers as much as 45 times (45x) making users a lot happier by accelerated application performance up to 100 times (100x). Additionally, Acceleration can be the catalyst for a centralised secure, controlled IT infrastructure.

“Intergence undertakes a brief and painless on-site real-time information capture exercise; off-site analysis of this data against an in-house advanced set of criteria; generation of a comprehensive Acceleration recommendations report presenting clear and concise insight into the potential opportunity and benefits that acceleration can deliver to your enterprise,” explains Adamson, who goes on to say that the company fully expects to add other products to their Optimisation Services Suite over the coming weeks and months, including some innovative offerings in the IT Security arena, one of the company’s three core operational pillars.

Intergence ‘Accelerate’ is a fixed price packaged product that helps determine the potential savings that IT Acceleration can make for a business in advance of any significant technology investment. For customers who have already made the decision to invest in IT Acceleration but are uncertain about which technologies and products to invest in, it provides assurance and recommendations of the right fit technologies and products with supporting breakdown of rationale.
