Intigral, the Middle East’s leading digital innovation hub, has achieved unprecedented success with “Dawri Plus”. Powered by STC, Dawri Plus offers Saudi League fans, both at home, on mobility, and abroad, a fully interactive experience of live games and more, across multiple platforms.

Intigral has pinpointed digital rights activation in the MENA sports sector as a major growth opportunity, a move that has been validated with Dawri Plus receiving more than 150,000 concurrent viewers during live match broadcasts, and over 200 registrations per minute at its peak.

Marking its foray into digital sports content activation, Intigral won the exclusive digital rights to Saudi Football Championships for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. As a result, Dawri Plus was developed to create an enhanced viewing experience to all football fans, setting a benchmark for value added services in the sports digital content sector. Since its launch, Dawri Plus has secured over 700,000 mobile and tablet application downloads, around 550,000 unique visitors per month on mobile and over 350,000 unique visitors per month on the website. In addition to this, over 230,000 users have subscribed to the service through SMS and MMS services and more than 150,000 subscribed to access the premium content section.

Recently, Dawri Plus received 150,000 concurrent viewers during the football match played between Al Shabab and Al Nasr during the King’s Cup competition. The exceptional number of viewers marks a record for any digital broadcast platform in the region.

Ben Kinealy, CEO, Intigral, commented, “At Intigral we are dedicated to creating, enabling and activating digital experiences, and it’s rewarding to receive such success with Dawri Plus. We have always highlighted the tremendous growth opportunity in digital sports sector, from activating content rights to enhancing sponsorship opportunities, and leveraging them thorough innovative products. Dawri Plus is just the beginning, and we look forward to leveraging future opportunities to bring fans closer to the sports they love.”

Dawri Plus offers users access to exclusive live games, content and statistics, live updates, and the ability to pause and playback games across multiple platforms. Further key features of Dawri Plus include live game streaming, exclusive content, mosaic viewing (i.e., ability to watch up to 4 games simultaneously), and replay functionalities allowing users to watch their favourite game events without losing the thread of ongoing matches. In addition, team and player statistics – updated in real time – are available at the users’ fingertips providing a fully immersive viewing experience. More recently, the latest infra-red imaging ‘Hot Spot’ technology was enabled across stadiums in KSA. With this technology, fans are now able to analyse football games in more detail, with access to unprecedented data, such as players’ heat-maps, distance and speed.

The success of Dawri Plus compliments Intigral’s management and activation for STC’s recently renewed five year sponsorship partnership with Real Madrid and Manchester United to provide fans in Saudi Arabia, with exclusive and engaging content and experiences bringing them closer to the football clubs like never before.
