Ipsos, the number one research company in Middle East and North Africa, were Gold Sponsors of the ESOMAR Best of MENAP conference, which took place in Dubai on March 12, 2014. Global leaders from the firm, John Carroll III and Timothy Keiningham from Ipsos USA, shared with attendees out of the box case studies and ideas for research and Big Data. Attendees present were from prominent companies around the world and the region along with key players in the research industry.
The presentation, entitled ‘Surprising, Futuristic, and Real: Practical Big Data’, introduced practical applications of social, local, and mobile research using leading edge technology already being deployed today. It also tapped into the issue of Big Data and how it is beginning to lose its appeal primarily because executives don’t know where to start. Ipsos spokespersons delivered simple and clear guidelines and tools for capturing, analyzing, and reporting Big Data which audience participants may then investigate and adopt.
“Fortunately, there are proven practical Big Data applications that are working now and are ready to be adopted widely across industry sectors, functions, and markets. Leaders in top companies and governments are harnessing the extraordinarily high volume, velocity, variety, and value of Big Data to drive strategic decisions,” stated John Carroll III from Ipsos Loyalty USA.
“Even more importantly and perhaps surprisingly, the people, platforms, and processes are finally in place to drive tactical actions in millions of sales and service encounters happening every day. With a few critical investments and by adopting a few key techniques, any organization can start harnessing Big Data to improve results now,” he added.
The use of Big Data, according to Ipsos experts, is simply the next stage in the revolution of human productivity gained via the broad adoption and application of information technology and communications. Yet, leaders are having a hard time practically applying Big Data and gaining associated value. To move to the next level of human productivity and economic prosperity, Ipsos shared various techniques on how best to capitalize on Big Data.
Ipsos, which operates across the globe, continues to release new services keeping up with the consumer needs and further providing clients with resources and easier platforms to facilitate the business process.
