iris, whose Asia footprint spans offices in Singapore, Sydney, Shanghai, Delhi and Jakarta, has grown in recent years to become one of the most successful creative companies and advertising networks in the APAC region, due to its deep insight into fields like participation branding and the agency’s ability to create solutions for clients that become part of popular culture.
In recent months, it has been responsible for platforms much-loved by consumers such as the design and creation of the Olympic Mascots as well as earning critical acclaim for it’s innovative global participation platforms for Adidas. Having eyed the MENA region for some time, the agency has finally signed a deal with one of the most interesting and awarded agencies in Dubai, Expression. The partnership will see iris introduce its unique and diverse agency model and creative offering to the MENA region for the first time, which has become popular with clients, revolving around the notion of creating solutions that provide competitive cut through by being interesting, valuable and cultural.
Expression will formally join the iris network on the 15th October, when Expression’s office – based at Al Thuraya Tower in Dubai’s Media City – will officially be branded an iris office.

iris Middle East will be led by Scott Feasey as managing director and David Brook as creative director. Its 21-strong team will launch with an impressive client base that will include Expression’s existing clients, Unilever, Lufthansa, Jumeirah International, Bridgestone, Gulf Food Industries, Ray-Ban, Carrefour Express, Dubai Chamber and Danone, as well as iris’ regional clients, mentioned above.

The deal will allow clients to tap into the scale and resources of the iris global network, which includes offices in the US, Europe and China as well as award-winning digital, planning, research, CRM, social and creative capabilities.
Expression, which launched in Dubai in 2002, is one of the GCC’s most awarded independent communications agencies. In 2009, iris was named ‘Mid-sized Network of the Year’ for Asia Pacific by Media magazine. iris is currently eying locations in the West Coast of the US and Brazil.
