To support its rapidly growing client portfolio in the Middle East, iRiS Software Systems has recently opened its Dubai office. With successful installations in Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, the company sees the Middle East as a key growth area.

Founded in the UK in 2007, iRiS Software Systems’ innovative apps are at the forefront of technology and are changing hospitality. The company’s innovative applications are used by more than 200 hotels worldwide and are multi-lingual and interactive. The apps are designed to improve the guest experience, generate additional revenue, reduce costs and take customer engagement to a new level.

Luxury hotel group Kempinski has selected iRiS Software as a key guest services technology provider and is installing iRiS applications across its worldwide network. Prasanna Rupasinghe, Director of Information Technology at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, said, “Following the successful use of the iRiS F&B Classic app in our luxury lobby lounge Aspen by Kempinski and 1897 Bar, we are now working with iRiS to provide our guests with an even richer technology experience from the comfort of their rooms. This is part of the enhancement programme we are currently undertaking in all of our guest rooms.”

Jason Jefferys, CEO of iRiS Software Systems, said, “The hospitality industry in the Middle East is thriving and we see incredibly strong demand from the region for our apps. The UAE has one of the highest levels of smartphone penetration in the world and is at the forefront of innovation in the tourism and hospitality industry globally, making it the perfect base for our operations in the Middle East.”

He added, “We provide guests services apps that do not only enhance the guest experience, but that drive revenue and have a measurable return on investment, which is critically important in our industry. Our clients have reported increases in revenues of over 30% through the use of our apps and we look forward to bringing our technology to even more hotels in the region through our new offices in Dubai.”

The Dubai office is headed up by Dimitri Xenos, Regional Director for the Middle East, India and Africa. Dimitri is responsible for all major accounts in the region as well as managing the company’s channel distribution.
