Billions of dollars allocated for construction projects in Iraq

The Iraqi government has undertaken a massive $70bn plan to invest in various Iraqi key sectors. It is expected to spend billions of dollars in the coming years in the following construction related sectors: $25bn in Housing Projects, $8bn in Transportation and $5.539bn in Water and Sewage.

Mr. Haitham Al Turk, Istirad’s Co Founder / CEO, who was present in the exhibition, said, “Great opportunities exist in the building materials sector as Iraq is importing most of the building materials from the surrounding countries. Our presence in Erbil is to support our partner Overlack Furniere since we understand the market and the region’s mentality. In addition to that, we are creating a new business model for the Iraqi market insuring a steady growth for our brand.”
