“After long 20 years of intensive research and work in the UK, I wanted to come back home with something unique – to help man and woman have a baby of their own,” says Dr. Khaldoun al Sharif.

Dr. Khaldoun al Sharif is back to Jordan after 20 years of work and research in fertility, gynecology and obstetrics in the UK, where he obtained the highest degrees in this specific academic medical branch.

Consultant gynecologist and obstetrics, Dr. Khaldoun al Sharif has developed pioneering techniques that offer new hopes to childless couples, such as opening the blocked tubes without surgery or overcoming difficult embryo transfer by using a special needle under ultrasound guidance..

“These are very simple techniques. They takes only 30 seconds each, yet they are very effective” he said.

Al Sharif has 8 published books in gynecology and obstetrics and over than 100 research papers in the same field. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London, and had obtained a Medical Doctorate degree in infertility and test tube baby techniques. Al Sharif occupied high positions in the United Kingdom, where he was the head of a University Hospital Fertility Unit and the Clinical Director of the Hospital as well, a combined position never reached by an Arab doctor before in the UK. He was also an examiner in the British Medical Council and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, a position he still retains in recognition of his expertise and achievements.

Al Sharif chose to put all the experiences he developed in the west to help Jordanian couples have children of their own.

“Establishing a medical center that specializes in fertility, gynecology and obstetric in Jordan has always been a dream, which finally came true. At this center we utilize cutting edge technologies and techniques to help people with fertility problems,” added al Sharif.

About 15% of people are affected by fertility disorders, but Dr. Khaldoun believes there is always hope of coming up with new fertility techniques.

“I am very impressed by the amount of awareness the Jordanian people have. They are keen to treat themselves medically and solve their fertility problems using the latest advances” Added al Sharif.
