The Incentive Travels Division of Rois Business Management & Marketing has recently organized a very exclusive Incentive Tour “Stars of 2009 teambuilding and educational tour” for the 110 agents of the Italian Branch of AXA Insurance.

The 4 days 5 nights tour from the 18 to the 22 of May featured a fully customized program including team building activities, sport and leisure activities such as camel polo, aqua venture (at the Atlantis), sky and driving sessions (at sky Dubai and Dubai Autodrome) confirming Dubai as a top tourist and travel choice of destination.

An outstanding One and Only Royal Mirage Palace Hotel paid tribute to Arabian architecture and hospitality on a truly regal scale providing the ideal accommodation and other impeccable services including a sumptuous gala dinner for the guests.

“This event, considering the current economic situation, is a very important achievement. It is not easy to convince Italian companies and tour operators specialized in business and corporate travels to choose and promote Dubai as a MICE destination because of the premium price difference compared with other traditional MICE destinations in the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. Huge marketing efforts, creativity in designing alternatives and at the same time cost effective packages need to factor in if you want to be successful” Chiarentin added.

According to Mr. Chiarentin, in order to exploit the potential of this business more structured and systematic promotional campaigns and events, joining all forces (Emirates Airlines, Hotel chains and local DMC’s) should be carried out in Italy and other European countries in future.

For all the 110 participants of AXA Insurance, the majority of which had never been to the UAE before, the tour represented an opportunity to discover Dubai and what this magnificent city has to offer to its visitors: from the spectacular modern architecture and the fascinating old city to the intriguingly different excursions and state of the art infrastructures. For many, this was also an opportunity to learn about the ongoing developments and to appreciate the level of excellence reached by the United Arab Emirates in many economic and social sectors.
