iTRACS Corporation signs agreement with Corning Cable Systems to collaborate in creating intelligent cabling solutions

United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, January 23 - 2007 @ 13:25

Corning Cable Systems is a leading manufacturer of fibre optic and copper cabling product solutions and design-through-installation services for the worldwide telecom industry and is part of Corning Incorporated’s telecommunications segment.

The recently-signed agreement will see CCS incorporate iTRACS cabling solutions, thus simplifying moves, adds and changes; enabling comprehensive management of the customer’s network; and reducing overall IT management costs. iTRACS provides enterprise software that allows organisations to establish and manage best practices for changes within an enterprise network or data centre infrastructure, so that executives can strategically direct, deploy and manage their facilities, networking and operations personnel and assets.

Saket Subramaniam, Regional Sales Director, Middle East, iTRACS said:

“We are delighted at our partnership with Corning Cable Systems. This collaboration will result in the market having another best-of-breed solution to choose from. iTRACS looks forward to working with our newest strategic OEM customer to offer and develop new fibre optic cabling solutions for the Middle East’s increasingly complex and diverse enterprise network and data centre infrastructures.”

“The addition of a market leading fibre Connectivity Company such as Corning Cable Systems underscores iTRACS’ leadership position in providing the technology that powers the substantial majority of the world’s intelligent infrastructure solutions. This agreement will offer regional enterprises a wider choice of solutions, allowing them to enjoy considerable benefits in the form of increased productivity, reduced operating costs, faster return-on-investment and lower Total Cost of Ownership that the iTRACS solution offers,” Subramaniam added.

“iTRACS is the ideal company for intelligent network infrastructure management,” said Oben Uluc, Executive Director of Marketing, Corning EMEA. “Our customers need to manage all changes and additions to their network infrastructure with a high level of efficiency and reliability. This is especially critical in the data centre environment and our agreement with iTRACS will go a long way in achieving this objective.”

Corning Cable Systems’s decision to offer intelligent patching in the Middle East, Europe and Africa region was influenced by its interest in developing new solutions to meet evolving customer needs and to ensure the completeness of Corning Cable Systems LANscape Solutions product portfolio. Corning Cable Systems LANscape Solutions is a complete offering of products (including cable, connectors, hardware and pre-terminated solutions), services and support for fibre optic and copper cabling.

iTRACS serves global customers in financial services, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, education and retail among other industries in over 35 countries, and has deployed more than 5,000 server licenses. iTRACS has recently opened a corporate office in Dubai and offers sales and support services to regional clients through its distribution partners in the UAE. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, iTRACS has development offices in Tempe, Arizona and sales offices in the Middle East, United States, United Kingdom and Singapore.
