“Typically, when trying to search for something in Dubai, one has to go to a search engine such as Google, and type ‘Dubai’ and the relevant keyword,” explained Tony Fernando, the managing Director of ITSthe1. “This will then produce a list of several results which need to be accessed one-by-one, to find the relevant information. My intention has always been to create a single location of every common search category, then place all information links within it.”
ITSthe1 FZ LLC, was in the process of creating these refined search sites for everything in Dubai, where for example everything related to Malls would be under DXBMALLS.COM and every Bank in Dubai will be under DXBBANKS.COM and so on. Over 150 Domain Names have been reserved for this purpose by ITSthe1.
With the phenomenal success of the million dollar homepage, the ideas have been combined to create a way to sell space at these sites. DXBWEB.COM is the result of that. From DXBWEB people can select any category where they would like to advertise and buy pixels.
Anyone is welcome to buy advertising space, which are available in 100-pixel ‘blocks’ (each measuring 10×10 pixels). There are 1,000,000 pixels in total per page.
When you buy pixels, you can display an image/banner/logo of your choice in the space you have purchased. You can also have the image linked to a website or in case of no website; ITSthe1 will create a simple one-page for you. Once published it will be available online for a period of 2-years.
“There’s been tremendous response to the concept,” continued Tony. “Prime space on each category is being grabbed up as we speak. It’s become like prime real estate online. With Dubai coming up with the world’s biggest advertising banners on road sides, this is now a new and great opportunity to be seen by millions on the net from anywhere in the world.”
“We are now getting requests to increase the number of categories to include subjects such as DXBBRITISH.COM, DXBINDIANS.COM, DXBARABS.COM. Depending on the popularity, we will keep expanding the categories,” he said.
