ITWORX Education, a global Dubai-based educational software solution provider, has recently won the prestigious 2014 Worldwide Public Sector Partner of the Year for Education at the Microsoft Partner Awards. This award acknowledges ITWORX Education’s powerful impact in the transformation of education, and its commitment towards providing cutting edge e-learning solutions, in the UAE and beyond.

In collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Learning Programme in the UAE, ITWORX Education’s learning management platform, the Connected Learning Gateway (CLG), has been used by 11,402 students and nearly 1,343 teachers across 123 schools. CLG is a social learning management system that is designed to enhance the teaching process for teachers, make learning fun and insightful for K-12 students, and facilitate communication and collaboration between students, school administrators, teachers and parents. According to a recent survey, 94% of students found that e-learning improved their interaction with teachers, 69% said it facilitated the assignment process, and an immense 88% felt it enhanced communication between their teachers and peers.

The survey was conducted by a UAE teacher using CLG in order to collect information and student insights on e-learning.

Hatem Sallam, CEO, ITWORX Education, commented: “We are pleased to receive this worldwide recognition by Microsoft, as it highlights our dedication and expertise in education solutions globally. The fact that we are a Microsoft partner has definitely helped us to expand our business in the UAE. The UAE is making big leaps in adopting e-learning in schools, and in line with the UAE’s 2021 vision, we are committed to supporting this transition through our support to the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Learning Programme.”

“Each year the entries to the Microsoft Partner Awards get better and this year we are proud to recognize ITWORX Education as 2014 Worldwide Partner of the Year for Education.” said Mark Chaban, Education Director for Microsoft Middle East and Africa. “We have collaborated on a number of impactful projects across the region, helping education institutions to embrace the digital transition to empower educators to deliver powerful and lasting learning experiences to their students.”

ITWORX Education’s globally recognized solution, CLG, can be used by different education organizations as it can easily accommodate varied and new learning practices. The use of Microsoft products like SharePoint, SQL, and Windows 8 allows ITWORX Education to provide education organizations with a customized and rich experience.

Microsoft technologies also allow the integration of CLG with ITWORX Education’s tablet apps, such as TeachLIVE, StudyLIVE and AuthorKit Reader, that support anytime ‘anytime anywhere’ learning, and enhance communication and collaboration as part of the complete learning management solution applied in the UAE.
