Industry-leading wireless Bluetooth headset provider makes products available in the Middle East

United Arab Emirates: Monday, April 12 - 2004 @ 09:27

The first product to be launched by JABRA is the JABRA BT250 Bluetooth wireless headset. The headset supports Bluetooth mobile phones, enabling users to enjoy the benefits of hands-free and cord-free conversations.

In order to make its products easily available to customers, JABRA has selected Alpha 55 as its exclusive distributor in the UAE. Alpha 55 will ensure JABRA products are available through its extensive network of sub-distributors and resellers including Duty Free shops and major electronics and computer outlets.

Many users are finding that talking on mobile phones is becoming a hindrance to performing many different types of activities such as driving, working or taking care of daily activities. “The days of users being attached to their mobile phones by a finite wire sacrificing movement for conversation are over,” said Vincent Peña, country manager, EMEA Key Venture Markets, JABRA.

“Users no longer need to keep their phones in their hands while talking, or hover next to it to ensure good quality reception. With the JABRA BT250, users can walk around freely without worrying about their phones or having their freedom obstructed by it.”

Weighing only 23 grams, the JABRA BT250 headset is light, has a unique, comfortable and practical behind-the-ear design and is easy to use. It is comprised of a unidirectional microphone and earphone made out of JABRA’s MiniGel formula, made to give superior sound clarity.

The MiniGel minimizes all background noise and fits in either ear. The unidirectional microphone works to focus on and amplify the user’s voice, allowing better quality voice reception. The combination of the two results in better sound quality at both ends of the call. The JABRA BT250 has a rechargeable battery giving eight hours of actual talking time with 240 hours of stand-by time. Users can control volume through an easy one touch access button on the headset. The headset also supports voice-activated dialling and answer/ends commands.

“As the world’s first provider of Bluetooth headsets, JABRA is the industry leader,” said Peña. “We look forward to launching more products into this market in the very near future.”
