In its first participation in the event, the Amman-based company, plans to unveil its latest wireless innovation: the first fully integrated platform that guarantees companies and advertising agencies that the goals of their ad campaigns are achieved while customers can receive many prizes as a reward for viewing ads on their mobiles.
Javna’s CEO Mansour Mansour said:
“Through our participation in Cebit 2008, we aspire to enhance our presence in the European markets and look for opportunities of genuine partnerships that would help us to further penetrate these markets. We also view Cebit-Hanover as the best venue to inaugurate the MobiAd system, which will revolutionize the commercial advertisement sector and help telecom service providers enter the advertising industry market and make additional revenues and benefits for them and their subscribers.”
Mansour explained that MobiAd has been introduced to bring an end to the arbitrary targeting of customers, as advertising companies will be able to reach to the targeted segment of customers in a more accurate and interactive fashion.
It enables advertisers to specify the targeted age range, gender, geographical location and other relevant data that is needed to optimally serve the advertising campaigns in a way that guarantees the desirable outcome.
In addition, advertisers can receive technical reports that help them evaluate the campaign and follow up on its various stages.
Unlike conventional SMS-based ad campaigns that are intrusive and most often imposed on subscribers, users will be given the choice to voluntarily join marketing programs channeled by their mobile telephony provider on the basis of their interests: sports, marketing, electrical appliances, electronics…etc.
In return, subscribers of these campaigns will be offered the chance to win promotional extra minutes of local or international calls, packages of SMSs or free gifts from the advertising firms, with the possibility of holding regular drawings for additional valuable prizes for the ad recipients.
Mansour highlighted the technical challenges they faced in certain stages of developing MobiAd, as Javna’s experts were tasked with building an integrated, flexible and user-friendly ad platform taking into consideration the multiple stakeholders and their different roles and responsibilities.
For his part, Javna’s Business Development Director, Sammy Tuffaha, expected that MobiAd would take a significant share in the international ad market, where there has been a desperate quest for novel and innovative ways that meet the needs of the modern trends of global and focused marketing.
This is true in particular, he explained, because the MobiAd platform utilizes interactive solutions that allow advertising companies to supplement their campaigns with additional advertising media channels such as SMS, MMS, tunes, pictures and flash pop- ups upon making or receiving a call. Furthermore, these marketing tools can be programmed to appear regularly on certain times or dates.
During the six days of the exhibition, Javna will display its most prominent solutions tailored for the various business sectors, market research, government agencies and stock markets, along with a package of entertainment applications that meet the needs of TV satellite channels, starting with SMS-TV platforms to Mobile streaming.
