To mark the occasion H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum will cut a ribbon and unveil a plaque to commemorate this special day.
The new school buildings, with state of the art classrooms and facilities, have been creatively designed by W.S. Atkins to reflect the atmosphere of a Mediterranean village.
Mr. R. D. Stokoe, Director of JESS, said, “We are honoured that one of Dubai’s visionary leaders, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, will be helping to celebrate this special day. It will be a privilege for the pupils to take part in this special event.”
Mr. R. D. Stokoe commented, “It has been a challenging, yet deeply rewarding journey to get the new school up and running and we are thrilled with the end result. All involved at JESS would like to thank the Ministry of Education, and the business and parental community of Dubai for their support and commitment to the success of our school.”
James Berry, Chairman of the Board said, “We are delighted with our new school. The building and facilities are quite outstanding and reflect the hard work and sheer determination of all those involved with the project. The JESS philosophy is to provide exceptional educational opportunities for pupils and to provide a broad, well balanced curriculum. Our main emphasis is the importance of an individual approach to our pupils, ultimately preparing them to become fulfilled, successful adults.”
There are currently over 800 pupils aged 3-14 years at JESS at the Arabian Ranches. The school is set to expand over the coming years to reach a capacity of 1,250 pupils covering the ages of 3-18 years of age. Including the original school in Jumeirah JESS now offers education to almost 1,500 pupils.
