This will be the third connection between Dammam and India, with Boeing 737 services already operating from Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.
The new service will operate four days a week – Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays – and provide onward connections from and to Kathmandu and Dhaka as well as to some leading destinations on the domestic network through the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The introduction of this new service to Dammam will further strengthen Jet Airways presence in the Gulf, where it has emerged as one of the leading carriers on the Indo-Gulf sector.
The Jet Airways flight 9W 567 will depart Dammam at 2355 hrs (local time) and arrive Delhi at 0615 hrs (LT next day). On the return leg, 9W 568 will depart Delhi at 2035 hrs (LT) and arrive Dammam at 2255 hrs (LT) providing seamless connections to and from international and domestic destinations on the airline’s network.
The airline will deploy a Boeing 737-800 aircraft on this route, offering Premiere and Economy guests an in-flight product that is among the best in its class, warm service, award-winning in-flight entertainment, as well as delectable cuisine. The service will complement the airline’s existing Gulf operations to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Muscat and Sharjah as well as Jeddah and Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mr Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said, “The airline has already established itself as a prominent brand in the highly competitive Indo-Gulf sector on account of the warmth and quality of its inflight product. We are confident that the new service will equally prove popular with our guests. The service will also provide convenient connections from and to Delhi to neighbouring countries like Kathmandu and Dhaka and also to important stations in India.”
