Located in the city of Dammam, the new HQ and Service Centre boasts many impressive features, including separate wet and gas seal reconditioning cells and dynamic test facilities. The facility also incorporates an extended spare parts warehouse, CNC-equipped machine shop, fully-equipped training centre plus a full refurbishment and balancing capability for power transmission couplings. A number of specialist John Crane teams are also based in the new HQ, including the Customer Service, Logistics, Technical Support, Regional Sales, Projects and Business Development teams.
“We have made no secret of our commitment to work in partnership with our Middle East customers and provide them with dedicated support,” comments Paul Cox, President, John Crane Global. “We want to be the number one choice for customers and that means delivering the very best products and service we can in terms of world-class quality, innovation and support. This major expansion project is tangible proof of our commitment being translated into positive action. Our customers will notice immediate benefits in terms of improved service, reduced turnaround times, greater spares availability and enhanced technical support. Our aim is to help those customers enjoy the sort of improvements in efficiency and reductions in downtime that will help them achieve their own targets.”
The scale of John Crane’s support to customers in Saudi Arabia is reflected in the fact that the company also operates two other Service Centres in the country. The East Coast facility in Jubail incorporates a fully-equipped Service Centre with lapping, polishing, machining and pressure testing capabilities, plus a dedicated product and service training centre. Similar capabilities are also available at the recently re-developed Yanbu Service Centre on the West Coast.
