Using the Show to test the market for the company’s own ‘Basics Range’ of lamps in the Middle East, as well as promoting existing Philips and other products, Johnston was overwhelmed by the enquiries and resulting orders. She commented:
“We had samples of a new range of lamps under our own brand for test marketing at the show, but have received an amazing number of enquiries and orders from 18 different countries. In total, we handled over 1000 enquiries for our products – with one customer waiting on our doorstep following the show to confirm his order before flying out of Dubai!”
Says Mrs Johnston upon announcing the new developments:-
“Launching our own range of GLS, Candle, Halogen and Energy Saving lamps in the Middle East is an exciting development for the company and a logical step forward to enhance the range of lamps we offer. The new lines will be available through retail outlets, and we expect the major supermarkets in Dubai to be stocking the products as an affordable alternative to the brands already available. The lamps are cost effective, long lasting and attractive.“
