The aim of this programme is to empower SME founders and their employees with the knowledge and professional know-how, thus enabling them to steer the SME sector forward so that it significantly contributes to national economic growth.
The 3 workshops tackled the fields of integrated marketing, financial records development for funding, and business plan development respectively.
More specifically, the Integrated Marketing Workshop highlighted the importance of including new marketing communication trends within the marketing strategy, while also looking into the creation of annual marketing plans for clients, amongst other topics. Similarly, the Funding Workshop focused on the do’s and don’ts of auditing and the coherence of financial records, as well as the evaluation of financial needs, the analysis of gaps within the financial records, the determining of financial needs, trends in financial forecasting, and the Cs5 requirements for credit analysis, credit demands, and credit risk.
Finally, the third workshop was designed to help attendees learn more about the development of conclusive business plans, and plans designed to highlight both operational and planning goals.
This workshop also looked into the tools for sound business, marketing, and sales plan development, while also highlighting some of the challenges that may come with such an endeavor.
These workshops, which were the 8th, 9th, and 10th to be offered by the Academy, were hosted at the Sheraton Amman hotel.
They targeted entrepreneurs, SME market players, SME employees, SME founders, HR managers, Accountants, Financial Managers, Heads of Purchasing Departments, Strategic Planners, Production Managers, Sales Managers, Administrators, Marketing Managers, and other interested parties from both Jordan Ahli Bank’s existing and potential client base.
The SME Academy Unit was established by Jordan Ahli Bank in June 2012 with its formal aim to provide a comprehensive program of trainings, workshops, and specialized forums that caters for enhancing the administrative capacity of the SMEs and creating a healthy productive working environment.
In turn, this should enhance the competitiveness environment, and serve to enhance the profitability of SMEs, and their continuity, which, in turn, would enhance the economic development of Jordan.
This comes as a pioneering step by the Bank in recognition of the need for non-financial support for the SME sector that aids its sustainability and success. The Jordan Ahli Bank is the only financial institution in Jordan to offer such a service to all SMEs in Jordan.
