Conducted by a team of experts from the Bank’s Capital Markets and Investments Group, the half day workshop was conducted at the Sheraton Amman Hotel on February 3rd, 2013.
This workshop was specifically designed to empower entrepreneurs, owners, and managers of SMEs with the tools necessary to evaluate project finance decisions according to industry best practice that guides their strategic execution.
Prior to this, the SME Academy had carried two training sessions, both in Strategic Marketing, and HR Essentials for Jordanian SMEs. As the year 2013 progresses, the SME Academy Unit aims to gather more momentum and continue to provide comprehensive skill-based trainings, and spreading of best-practice ideas through professional networking that is needed by the Jordanian SMEs.
The SME Academy Unit was established by the Jordan Ahli Bank in June 2012 with its formal aim to provide a comprehensive program of trainings, workshops, and specialized forums that caters for enhancing the administrative capacity of the SMEs within the three pillars of business edge.
Together, these pillars focus on key areas of effective management; so that once they are mastered they cater to creating a healthy productive working environment. More specifically, the pillars focus on; human resource, management, general operations management, finance and accounting, and last but not least personal productivity. In turn, this should enhance the competitiveness environment, and serve to enhance the profitability of SMEs, and their continuity, which, in turn, would enhance the economic development of Jordan. This comes as a pioneering step by the Bank in recognition of the need for non-financial support for the SME sector that aids its sustainability and success. The Jordan Ahli Bank is the only financial institution in Jordan to offer such a service to all SMEs in Jordan.
