In addition, more than 1,000 companies showcased the most innovative green building products and services in the world’s largest expo hall dedicated to green building.
As part of World Green Building council and MENA network for green building councils: Jordan Green building council presented Jordan’s experience in Green Buildings and the LEED rating system in front of hundreds of participants from all over the world, furthermore, The council participated in the LEED round table meeting and gave suggestion about making the LEED system easier to implement internationally while taking into consideration the characteristics of culture and place of each country.
Prior to that, Jordan GBC participated in the Qatar construction summit that was held in Doha during the last week of September and took part in the debate about key challenges in achieving sustainability in Construction and infrastructure to deliver sustainable projects in the region.
Jordan GBC’s Chairman Mr. Mohammad Asfour presented the council and talked about the importance of joining the efforts between private, public, academic and the civil society organizations concerned about sustainable construction. He also encouraged Jordanian companies working in the green building field to benefit from the business opportunities the Qatari construction sector is providing.
He also encouraged Jordanian companies to subcontract with foreign companies operating in Qatar since they are in a better to understand the nature of work in the region.
