JTC’s certification has been upgraded from the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management system (QMS) standard, initially received in 2006, to now include the ISO9001:2008 version and the latest Occupational Health & Safety standard (OHSAS 18001: 2007) thereby recognizing the integrated nature of the JTC management system. These certifications provide customer and management assurance that JTC’s systems are in conformance with multiple international standards produced by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
ISO 9000 series for quality management is the most widely adopted quality management standard in the world. The OHSAS 18001: 2007 standard defines occupational health and safety (OH&S) system requirements framed around recognized best practice.
JTC’s Chief Operating Officer, Andreas Mohr commented:
“The certification of our management system reinforces JTC’s commitment to customers and our other stakeholders in terms of meeting specifications and expectations. It also underlines our business commitment to continuously improve all aspects of our business through a range of value-adding activities including robust customer feedback processes, process performance monitoring, personnel development & training, internal audit and staff-led improvement initiatives.”
Mohr added “The selection of a leading globally-recognized and fully accredited certification body underlines how we regard our integrated management system. We will build on this key milestone and continue to improve our systems. This achievement also represents recognition of their contribution to JTC and our valued customers.”
