The sponsorship announcement is a sign of Julius Baer’s long standing support of the arts as well as its commitment to the UAE as a cultural and business hub.
As one of the region’s leading art platforms, Abu Dhabi Art is now in its fifth year and has grown year-on-year and will host fifty diverse art galleries from 20th – 23rd November 2013 at the UAE Pavilion and Manarat Al Saadiyat, Saadiyat Island.
Daniel Savary, Head of Eastern Mediterranean, Middle East and Africa (EMMEA), Bank Julius Baer, said, “Art is one of the primary areas of focus for Julius Baer’s global sponsorship activities. Our affinity with art is due to its enduring qualities and rich cultural heritage. Therefore, we invest in events, such as Abu Dhabi Art, which provide us with the perfect platform to strengthen our brand position.”
He added, “We are proud to support the rapidly developing art scene in the UAE and we also look forward to further strengthening our partnership with the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture authority. As always, we remain committed to the continued development of the region and to our long term strategy of growing our business in the UAE and the wider Middle East, since we believe in the great growth potential it offers.”
In addition to supporting a diverse programme of cultural activities, the bank will host its Julius Baer Art Lounge at Abu Dhabi Art, which will feature the finest pieces from its varied collection of around 5,000 pieces, which highlight the different aspects of the contemporary Swiss artistic endeavour. Art lovers can visit the Julius Baer Art Lounge to enjoy the work of innovative, up and coming young artists in a stunning environment of Abu Dhabi Art.
