Konica Minolta Business Solutions Middle East and Juma Al Majid Establishment – Konica Minolta UAE distributor organized a high profile customer workshop on Photo Book solutions. The event was held in Dubai recently at the Digital Imaging Solutions Centre.
This was the first of its kind of workshops where Professional Photo Service providers experienced something new and beyond conventional means of business. Changes in technology have opened up new opportunities for commercial printers to move into high-value premium photo publishing, including calendars, photo books, greeting cards, sports cards, and similar photo-based items. While Photo Print is on decline, Photo Merchandize Products are on high growth.
Amongst Photo Merchandize, Photo Books contribute about 26% of the share. Europe produced close to 25 million Photo Books in 2012 and USA was very close to producing 30 million Photo Books in 2012. It would not be too late before the concept and trend gets in to Middle East and in order to be successful the service providers who have the set up and drive will be most beneficial to take the opportunity that is still premium and lucrative.
Juma Al Majid Est. invited leading Photo Studios and Conventional Photo Printers in the UAE attended the workshop and were amazed to experience the solutions Konica Minolta has to offer creating a new business dimension within the Photo Business Industry. Surprise element for all Photo Professional at the workshop was to witness the quality of Konica Minolta High Chroma print result on Press C 70hc that has been designed to print true RGB Colors as good as conventional printer. In addition to print RGB Colors, Konica Minolta Solutions provide added flexibility to print on variety of media, incorporate variable information, print duplex and print up to 1200mm paper size.
