Key sponsors, Jumbo and Paris Gallery, announce unique tie-up for DSF 2004

The announcement was made at a press conference in Dubai on January 5, addressed by Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Nabouda, Chief Executive Officer of DSF, Mr. Ismail Al Fahim, Director of Paris Gallery, Mr. Anup Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of Jumbo Electronics, and other senior executives from Jumbo Electronics and Paris Gallery.
Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Nabouda, CEO of DSF 2004 said: “This unique initiative taken by Jumbo and Paris Gallery is a major development, and augurs well for the future of Dubai Shopping Festival, as it reflects an entirely fresh new approach from the private sector on how best they can pool their resources in promoting the festival and their products.

He added: “Dubai Shopping Festival is very happy to have the continued support of these two dynamic private sector companies, and their new alliance is a shining example of how private sector groups can play a significant role in development projects initiated by the Dubai government. DSF is confident that the combined efforts of Jumbo and Paris Gallery will bring them rich dividends”.

The joint initiative, the first of its kind undertaken by the key sponsors of DSF, is aimed at further enhancing the shopping element of the festival, and to promote cross footfall at both the major retail entities by offering a one-of-a-kind value-for-money deal to DSF shoppers. In addition to the joint promotion, both Jumbo and Paris Gallery will be running their own individual promotions.

Mr. Ismail Al Fahim, Director of Paris Gallery, said: “Paris Gallery believes that the private sector should play a greater role in further enhancing the image of Dubai Shopping Festival as a truly global event. By joining forces with a well-known company like Jumbo we can make a bigger impact on residents and visitors who will be looking for very special offers during the festival. This superb initiative will also help us tap into each other’s customer base, as each of us attract different audiences in the UAE”.

Mr. Anup Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of Jumbo, said: “For the 9th successive year Jumbo is proud to offer its support to DSF that has helped turn Dubai into a dream location for thousands of shoppers and visitors from around the world. We are happy to tie-up with a top luxury brands company like Paris Gallery to spread the message of winning far and wide and help make this DSF even more attractive to shoppers. Our joint effort has evolved from our determination to give residents and visitors one world-class shopping destination for top international brands”.

In addition to the joint initiative with Paris Gallery, Jumbo will run its own promotions featuring a host of bargain deals, hefty discounts, exciting prizes and bundle offers covering a broad spectrum of top international brands including Sony, Nokia, HP, Acer, Fujistu-Siemens, Sony Ericsson, IBM, Brother, Casio, Epson and Supra, to name a few.
