Riyadh e-Document Forum 2005 next month to focus on latest technologies

Concurrently, a highly-focused trade exhibition is also scheduled as part of the Forum.

Organized by the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) from November 20-21, 2005 at Intercontinental Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the forum will witness presentations on Electronic Documents Management from leading industry specialists and government experts, representing the Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Finance(Saudi EDI Project), Saudi Aramco, General Organization for Social Insurance(GOSI), Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Saudi Telecom, General Organization for Pension, King Saud University and Institute of Public Administration (IPA).

In addition to this, international speakers from global market research firm IDC, El-Ajou Group, NESMA Advanced Technology, Plasmon and QSTAR will also give their views on the emerging technologies in this crucial sector.

Mr. Hamad Al-Sadoon, Supervisor of the Forum, General Director of Information Systems, KACST said: “The 2005 forum comes on the wake of the resounding success of e-Document Forum last year, in which more than 1,000 delegates representing government and private sectors participated. The outstanding event attracted sponsorship from 17 companies in this growing sector.”

The e-Document Forum which aims to create a powerful networking platform for business decision makers, IT professionals and industry leaders, will act as a meeting point for sharing experience and showcasing the latest technologies in e-Documents management.

Mr. Al Sadoon pointed out: “This year’s Forum will include presentations and discussions on topics such as: document imaging, records management, workflow systems, knowledge & content management, electronic portals, storage systems and electronic archiving. A highly-focused exhibition showcasing latest technologies, products and services , will be held as part of the event.”

Riyadh, the center of the largest and fastest growing IT market in the region, is the automatic choice of the industry to hold this annual e-Document Forum. The event offers an ideal opportunity for exchanging ideas, discussing best practices and networking with senior government officials, decision makers, and industry leaders. The two previous forums had featured over 2,000 participants and 35 speakers from the pioneers in Electronic Document Management.
