Kalimat, the Sharjah based publishing house dedicated to publishing high quality Arabic children’s books, has concluded its participation in the 34th Paris International Book Fair taking place from 21 to 24 of March 2014.
Paris International Book Fair is one of the premier events in Europe for book industry professionals and this year’s edition has attracted 1200 publishers from 37 countries. The four-day event offers a stellar program that makes it a highlight of the cultural calendar.
Kalimat aimed to strengthen its international presence as one of the leading regional publishers dedicated to producing high quality children’s books in terms of content, illustration and printing. The publisher showcased a collection of its 140 publications, including some of its award-winning titles and others that have already been translated into multiple languages. Also, Kalimat networked with more publishers, illustrators, writers, and children’s literature professionals to further enrich the content of its books with the aim to gain increased international exposure.
