Attended by Abdul Rahman AlKhulaifi, President of Katara, the deal was signed by Darweesh Ahmed, Marketing and International Affairs Director, Katara and Nassim Goraieb, Marketing Manager, Virgin Megastore at Virgin Villaggio.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to partner with Katara,” said Goraieb. “Katara is playing a significant role in connecting cultures and civilizations and with Virgin’s in-store capabilities and online infrastructure, this partnership ensures that concert and event tickets are more accessible to residents both inside and outside of Doha.”
“At Katara, we aim to offer strong and exciting cultural experiences across Doha and our partnership with Virgin Megastores is a move in the right direction,” said Ahmed. “We have created a program packed with unique events to-date and will be making further announcements for the upcoming season.”
As more exclusive announcements and many other exciting Katara activities are still to be revealed, the team at Katara continues to plan and map out activities for the next major cultural Festival, the Latin American Cultural Festival (LACF) that will hit Doha this season.
As part of the agreement, the Virgin Megastore Ticketing Box Office becomes the exclusive seat booking agent for the upcoming LACF. To be held from October 6th to 15th, the festival will feature the best of music, dance and film from South America at Doha’s cultural hub Cultural Village.
