Since launching in Dubai, Katch has won the account to provide communications services to Pragma Group, which includes PR, Marketing, Design and Branding services to the group’s lifestyle brands, including Cavalli Club Restaurant & Lounge, Bo House Cafe and Health Factory, as well as its corporate account. Katch acquired the aforementioned accounts after winning the account for Cirque Du Soir Dubai, also a Pragma Lifestyle brand.
Katch has grown its Dubai based business as the trend for UK based luxury brands launching into Dubai continues. Cirque Du Soir is part of a recent spate of nightlife brands to launch in Dubai to be added to Katch’s client roster. Spiritual Gypsy, a holistic jewellery maker, and Safiyaa, a high-end fashion brand, both UK based clients, have now come on board with Katch Dubai as they look to grow their brands into the Middle East.
The Katch Dubai team is currently headed up by Owner Georgie Woollams, who said, “The trend for UK and European based luxury brands’ launching into Dubai continues as a result of the city’s three-fold attraction. Firstly, the city is a hub for expansion into the wider region. Second, the GDP in the UAE and wider GCC region is considerably higher than other parts of the world; and finally, Dubai has successfully positioned itself as a leading city on a par with London and New York. In light of Katch’s strengths from luxury to fashion and events, we are well positioned to make successful inroads into the market.”
Katch has also been nominated as the agency to handle the communications for Pragma Group’s soon to launch franchises, which will see both the Group and the agency expand into Beirut, Lebanon later this year. Pragma Group owns the international franchising rights for Cavalli hospitality brands Cavalli Caffé and Cavalli Club.
The boutique agency, which has grown rapidly since its inception, has a list of international clients which includes global hotel chain Meliã International, fashion brands David & Goliath, Barclays Wealth and Mercedes Benz Russian Fashion Week. The company also owns House of Evolution, a key event which takes place as part of London Fashion Week, and is a platform for up and coming, edgy and innovative international designers. Katch used the platform to launch Dubai based brand Das Collective, in the UK.
Woollams, talking on the recent expansion of Katch said, “Whilst Dubai is a competitive landscape, we at Katch believe that our dedicated and personal approach, combined with creative responses that push the boundaries, will see us succeed. It is this philosophy at Katch that has paved the way for our expansion into the Middle East. We look forward to our Dubai chapter and the beginning of Katch International, which will see us expanding into further markets in the near future.”
The Katch Dubai team is currently made up of seven staff members, which has combined regional and international experience totalling over three decades and a multiple brand portfolio.
