The noble gesture from KR will go a long way in assisting the association’s numerous initiatives directed at providing aid and service for children who are differently abled and their families as well.

Says Rajiv Ahuja, Head of Corporate Communitions, KR, “The Khimji Ramdas group has always played an active role in community development. It is an organization that prides itself on corporate social responsibilities, embracing any opportunity to give people and individuals a better life. We applaud the AEICD and its ceaseless endeavours aimed at timely intervention for children with different abilities. Our support for the activities of the AEICD is just one way to show that we too care and are always willing to do out share.”

Since its inception in 2000 the AEICD has been accomplishing remarkable milestones in addressing the needs of differently abled children right from birth to the age of six. The association has established itself as the only centre in Oman that caters to the wide ranging needs of children born with different abilities by providing extensive service and care. Its distinction as a charitable organistion means that the AEICD relies solely on grants and the goodwill of corporates such as KR to finance its activities and services.

Expressing deep gratitude towards the KR Group, Sabah Al Bahlani CEO of the AEICD says, “The children, family and staff of the association of early intervention would like to thank the Khimji Ramdas Group for their generous contribution towards our initiatives. The donation will be crucial to helping us equip the children with the necessary developmental tools to integrate them into mainstream society.”

The association’s role, she emphasized, is to assist in the growth and development of children from birth through a system of coordinated services. This will facilitate early detection of physical, psychological or developmental anomalies that can be treated accordingly. The purpose of early intervention, therefore, is to ensure that children who have been diagnosed with such developmental delays receive the resources and support they deserve to maxmise their growth progress. Through its centre, the AEICD enables timely medical intervention and provides integrated services to children diagnosed under various categories of developmental disabilities. This is one way that the association is able to give such children a fair chance at living a fulfilling life.
