The workshop aims to get Qatari media professionals acquainted to the challenges and solutions to their operations and workflows in terms of news management systems including receiving, editing, tagging and publishing content packages in text, photo, video and XML formats on multiple platforms as well as Facebook and Twitter.
The workshop shed light on the best practices in multi-publishing, media monitoring, content searching and archiving tools with examples from the Arab world and beyond, showcasing QNA and other success stories in the field of integrated newsroom and cross-media publishing.
The workshop, conducted over three days by Dr. Ali Al Assam, CEO of KnowledgeView was wrapped up with hands on training for attendees.
“QNA is organizing such trainings based on its important role, in accordance with the Amiri Decree number 51 issued in 2009, to help Qatari professionals use the latest technologies in digital publishing environment and improve their skills and working methods. This workshop is one of many successful and useful trainings that attract increasing numbers of applicants. Such workshops target primarily Qatari professionals and are free of charge for both public and private sectors delegates,” Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Thani, the assistant director of media relations, QNA, said.
