From its initial launch into the marketplace three quarters of a century ago, when the Middle East had only just begun producing crude oil, the Kohler Wellworth toilet has long been specified by generations of plumbing contractors and discerning homeowners, and this fresh take on a classic fixture ensures the Wellworth will be stylish for many more years as new generations come to know this home necessity.
“Without question, the Wellworth toilet has come to embody everything that Kohler represents as a leader and innovator in plumbing products, and the latest version is our best Wellworth toilet we have ever launched in the region,” said Mohamed Nada, Regional Marketing Manager at Kohler Co.
He added, “In the Middle East water has always been a scarce and valuable resource, which must be conserved and cared for. The new Wellworth toilet has truly adhered to the Kohler reputation for saving water without sacrificing design or performance, making it perfectly suited to this region. The storied history of the Wellworth toilet is a classic case study of a consumer product with staying power. Over its near century of existence, it has received accolades for design and performance leadership and has earned a reputation as a toilet that consistently offers exceptional performance and exceptional value.”
The Kohler Wellworth toilet family, with Class Five flushing technology, now offers a model that will flush just 3.8 litres. This water-conserving toilet can save a family of four 62,459 litres of water and is certified to carry EPA’s WaterSense label for using at least 20 percent less water than standard 6 litres, while still meeting strict flushing performance guidelines.
Contributing to the toilet’s power and virtually plug-free performance is a combination of a precision-designed water delivery system and durable canister flush valve that maximize the efficient flow of water to harness the natural force of gravity. This is achieved by the canister valve’s opening, originating at 7.7 cm and tapering down to 5.1 cm to create additional pressure and a strong flush – all while using water most efficiently.
Adding to the exceptional value of the Wellworth toilet is a new versatile tank design – one that has been updated featuring an elegant flare to complement a wide range of bathroom designs. The Wellworth toilet also relies on a standard three-bolt installation, ideal for adjustments and levelling, as well as a large toilet base to cover existing footprints for replacement applications.
In terms of hygiene, greater than 50 percent more water passes through the bowl rim, optimizing water flow for a long, clean and efficient rinse. In addition, the Wellworth toilet continues to feature its generous water surface, keeping the bowl clean and reducing odour despite using less water than its predecessor.
The Kohler Wellworth toilet is offered as either a 6 or 4.84 lpf (liters per flush) toilet and in a variety of options, including 25.4, 30.5 and 35.6 rough-ins, round-front or elongated bowl shapes and both standard or Comfort Height bowl heights. As for the taller height toilet, users must specify the Kohler Highline Comfort Height model, enabling them to take advantage of the toilet’s ergonomic features, including the bowl being two inches taller than an average toilet and the same height as standard household chair.
The Wellworth collection is available now through the Kohler Middle East distributor network.
