The bank confirms its role as not only limited to being an Islamic Banking institution servicing its customers but also is an institution looking after the development of all aspects of the community.
On the occasion, Economic Research Department Manager and Board Secretary Dr. Sadeq Abul expressed: “Stemming from the bank’s keenness to establish social bonds between members of the society during the holy month of Ramadan, a program of events and activities have been prepared starting with the distribution of a Quran CD to all employees and customers in the voice of Sheikh Mishari Al Afasi and will be available at all of the bank’s 18 branches.”
Abul added: “The bank will also contribute to supporting a project in collaboration with Zakat Al Othman which entails providing “Iftar” meals for people in need throughout the whole month of Ramadan. The project aims at strengthening the relations between members of societies and establishing gracious bonds amongst them, on the basis of the principles of the Islamic Shariah.”
Abul also emphasized on KIB’s plan to hold religious seminars for its employees presented by Sheikh Dr. Khaled Al Mathkoor President of Shariah Committee and Mr. Mustafa Sayed Al Zalzaleh Member of Shariah Committee board member whom will both be managing the Internal Quran Competition that will take place amongst employees as an encouragement from the bank to its employees.
In addition, athletic activities under the sponsorship of KIB will take place such as the championship of the late Abdualla Mishari Al Roudan as well as organizing an Internal football tournament aiming to entice employees and the community to participate in sports activities.
Last but not least, KIB will also partake in social and cultural activities during Ramadan such as the “Gergain” event organized specially for the children of social welfare in the Ministry of Affairs and the Instagram Competition. Worthy to mention, KIB has recently launched its account on Instagram under the name @Aldawlibank as part of its continuous initiatives to stay connected to its customers via different channels of social media.
In conclusion, Abul confirmed the bank’s enthusiasm to participate in different social, religious and cultural activities as part of its social responsibility as a Islamic Banking institution always devoted to instill the values of Islamic religion in the community.
